Matthew launched METROPOLITAN SPACE in 2021 to focus on intimate residential projects in the Hudson Valley. But as a Brooklyn resident, his practice naturally veered into consulting for local architects on brownstone & townhouse renovations. Now, after four years of creating DoB permit drawings and construction documents for other architects, Matthew is pivoting to offer his professional Brooklyn Brownstone & Townhouse expertise directly to clients. (...he still does houses in the Hudson Valley)
Before founding METROPOLITAN SPACE, Matthew was a senior architect at OMA, where he led zoning & code analysis, technical detailing and design coordination for residential, commercial and cultural projects. He also gained valuable experience at KPF, SOM & Handel Architects.
Matthew earned his Masters in Architecture from Princeton University and his Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Michigan. Matthew is NCARB certified and licensed to practice in NY.
